Montréal food-aid ecosystem and COVID-19 impacts

Résumé

As Montreal deals with the outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic, the food aid ecosystem has encountered major challenges across the supply, sorting and distribution chain. Through interviews with several local food banks, this paper demonstrates the short and long-term effects of the pandemic on food-aid, and makes recommendations on how the City of Montreal could help support the ecosystem.
